Missed Appointments are charged at $5 per missed appointment.

When a client does not notify us of being unable to keep an appointment, it has several ramifications. We hold that day & time appointment for that client & set aside a groomer to be able to groom their dog at the specified day & time. If they don't turn up for their appointment at the Salon it means we will have a groomer having their time wasted. Also it is not fair on our other clients who wanted an appointment, they could have had the appointment that wasn't kept, by the time we realise they are not showing up, it is too late, everyone's time (& money) has been wasted. We also lose income as we will not be paid for the missed appointment, for which we could have allocated to someone else who wanted it, so whilst we only charge a $5 fee, it is actually between $65 to $130 it costs us for the missed appointment.
Any missed appointments from failing to keep a Salon appointment because you have forgotten the appointment, failed to call or postpone the appointment will incur a $5 missed appointment charge per dog. If a client disputes or refuses to pay their missed appointment charge/s they are informed that their dogs will no longer be serviced by us & they will be required to find another grooming service. This may seem a little harsh to some, however we have a lot of very loyal clients & we would rather deal with clients that appreciate our time, our quality of service & the care we take with their dogs. We are very proud of our high level of service, we would rather have the time available to groom clients that appreciate what we offer above & beyond other grooming services. Thus also giving us the time for our regular clients as opposed to making them wait for an appointment that someone is unlikely to keep.
