Late Charges for Salon pick ups are charged at $15 per 15 minutes after closing.

When a client does not collect their dogs prior to closing times, it has several ramifications. Staff are required to stay back after hours, which at times is not possible, so dogs may need to be taken home with a staff member, which in itself is an inconvenience. Several of our staff have prior commitments & even if they wanted too they are not able to stay back after closing hours or take the dogs home, in this case the staff have no choice but to drop them off at Domestic Animal Services. If staff are required to stay & wait for a client to collect their dogs after hours they are naturally also required to be paid overtime for staying back. This is the reason we charge clients late charges, but of course they also need to consider the staff they have kept back by not collecting their dogs on time.

Even if you call throughout the day to advise us you will be late, unfortunately this still does not change anything, you will need to make other arrangements to ensure your dogs are collected on time, all dogs must be picked up by close of business, no exceptions. Late charges are payable on collection of your dog & must be paid prior to collecting your dog. If a client disputes paying their late charges, they will still be required to pay all outstanding late fees prior to collecting their dog/s. It is not acceptable that we are required to pay staff for overtime because of their lateness, not to mention the inconvenience they have caused the staff. Clients who dispute these charges will be informed that their dogs will no longer be serviced by us & will be required to find another grooming service. This may seem a little harsh but we have a lot of very loyal clients & we would rather deal with clients that appreciate our time, our quality of service & the care we take with their dogs. We are very proud of our high level of service.
